Travel Insurance Disclosures

Attention purchasers of travel insurance, trip cancellation insurance, and/or lodging insurance programs:

GENERAL DISCLOSURE

Sandhills Insurance Group, LLC, is a licensed insurance agency, contracted with various underwriters for the sales and distribution of travel insurance and related programs.  Sandhills Insurance Group, LLC also does business under the name Insurestays.com in several states.

Most US States have adopted and passed legislation, or adopted insurance rules,  which regulate the activities of retailers offering travel insurance programs. In some states, Sandhills Insurance Group, LLC is a licensed supervising entity, conducting initial and annual training and certification of unlicensed retailers selling and referring travelers to the travel insurance program. As a supervising entity, Sandhills Insurance Group provides ongoing oversight of its authorized travel retailers.  Only trained, certified, authorized retailers are permitted to offer travel insurance to travelers.

In many states, travel insurance retailers still must possess limited lines travel, travel-ticket, or travel-baggage licenses in order to offer Sandhills Insurance Group-supported travel insurance programs in their home state.
